Before the Beginning

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to my blog about my trip to Kenya!

I just found out today that I am leaving for Kenya on June 16 and returning on August 9. I'm traveling with one other person and meeting two interns who are leaving for Kenya the last week in May.

For those of you who don't know, I am traveling as an intern for an organization called SOTENI. SOTENI is a non-profit organization in the US and a Non-Government Organization in Kenya. It operates four Community Based Organizations in four rural communities in western Kenya. For more information about SOTENI go to their website www.soteni.org

I'll be posting more about the trip as it gets closer, and chronicling my days in Kenya on this website, so that everyone can keep track of what I'm up to.
